Dr. Russell Hough is a fully qualified, registered Osteopath and owner of Newcastle Osteopathy. Russell completed a 5-year double degree in Clinical Science and Osteopathic Science at RMIT in 2001. He has owned and worked in Osteopathic clinics throughout Australia and overseas before opening Newcastle Osteopathy in 2014.
Russell moved to Newcastle in 2014 with his wife and son. He enjoys surfing and AFL and spending time with his family.
As well as Osteopathy Russell has completed a CHEK Exercise Coaching course and has a keen interest in sports science, health and fitness. Russell firmly believes that people from all ages can benefit from Osteopathic treatment, including children and the elderly.
Dr Bianca Oehme is a fully qualified, registered Osteopath and member of Osteopathy Australia.
Bianca Completed a 3 Year Undergraduate Degree in Applied Science (Complementary Medicine) followed by a 2 year Masters in Osteopathy at RMIT in 2006. She moved to Newcastle in 2006 and has been here ever since. Since graduating Bianca has completed several paediatric and obstetrics seminars within Australia and overseas.
Outside of work Bianca enjoys spending time with her daughter and husband and shopping.
Bianca has a whole body approach and a strong clinical interest in paediatric care, lower back pain, and jaw problems.
Meshelle is a university qualified Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner and a registered Acupuncturist. She also holds a Diploma in Chinese Remedial Massage (Tui Na) and a Certificate in Cosmetic Acupuncture.
For the two years after graduation she was living and working in China and Taiwan, and her practice leans towards more traditional acupuncture techniques. Meshelle has a particular interest and expertise in Women’s health; fertility, IVF support, pregnancy, menopause and period irregularities.
She is also highly skilled in managing musculoskeletal problems, sports injuries, anxiety and depression, and skin disorders. Meshelle aims to help her patients achieve health and therefore, happiness, in all aspects of their lives.
Scott joined Newcastle Osteopathy in 2017. Scott completed his Diploma in Remedial Massage in 1998 and has been working in the industry for almost 20 years He is highly skilled in Remedial massage, Swedish massage, Hot Stones, Hot Stone Therapy, Watsu, Lomi Lomi Heartwork and Relaxation. For the past 12 years he has been the senior massage therapist at the award winning Golden Door Elysia Health Retreat in the Hunter Valley vineyards providing guests and celebrities from Australia and worldwide with various massage therapies.
Locally he has used his Sports Massage skills and has worked with the Newcastle Knights NRL team for 3 years, Newcastle Jets A-League and other notable touring sports teams. He has also provided seated workplace massage at several corporate businesses (including NRMA, Energy Australia and the Newcastle Permanent Building Society).
Scott enjoys spending time with his family, keeping fit and karate with his daughters. He is passionate about people’s health and wellbeing and is happy to discuss each client’s individual needs, requirements and treatment.
Dr Ben Grasby is a registered Osteopath and a practitioner at Newcastle Osteopathy. Ben completed a 3 year Bachelor of Applied Science (Osteopathy) degree, followed by a 2 year Masters of Osteopathy, both at the University of Western Sydney. Since graduation, Ben has worked as an Osteopath in the Hunter Valley and Newcastle area.
Apart from work, Ben enjoys the beach, sports and friends. He has travelled extensively, and through his volunteering, takes an interest in other cultures, languages and people.
Ben enjoys treating people of all ages and takes an interest in the combination of Osteopathic care with stretching and exercise.
